The platform carefully matches the Care Receivers with the relevant Therapist only after understanding their background, profile, preference (s) and current emotional state. We are making the process of seeking therapy simple, convenient, secure and affordable that can be accessed by all.

WHO IS A THERAPIST?

Therapists are psychology professionals who are qualified, experienced, trained to counsel, treat and rehabilitate. The Therapists at Empty are either psychologists, life coaches or counsellors.

The Therapists at EmptyCare are experienced psychologists with a Master's or a Doctorate degree in their field. They have completed the necessary education, exams, training and practice to become psychologists. We have Therapists of varied experience and expertise, but they all hold hands-on experience of at least 3 years in-clinic and more than 700 hours of sessions. 

WHO WILL BE MY THERAPIST?

On receiving your duly filled self-assessment form, we will shortlist a few Therapists based on your preferences and the type of issues you are dealing with. We understand that each individual is unique hence, our team will ensure we match you with a relevant therapists that fits your therapy needs. On a qualitative level, the therapists will have different approaches and areas of focus, so it's imperative to find the right therapist who can achieve the best results for you. However, if you start the process and you feel that your shortlisted Therapist isn't a good fit for you, you may request to be matched with a different Therapist.

HOW ARE THE THERAPIST ONBOARDED?

All the therapists that apply to EmptyCare are required to have a Master’s degree in the relevant field and 500 hours of session hours, at minimum. Therapists are required to submit proper degree and certificate documentation and KYC. Our onboarding team does a comprehensive quality check of each therapist and verify the details with concerned authorities.  Further, at EmptyCare we filter the best expert in their field of specialization and focus group.  Each therapist profile is carefully screened and added to our team of therapists to serve you well. We also show the qualifications information for each therapist in their profile to make it easy for you to do your own due diligence on your therapist.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Therapy at EMPTYCARE can be based on a single session costing Rs. 1000 to Rs. 2000 or one can choose from bundles offering 3 sessions @ Rs. 2700 having 90 days validity and 6 sessions @ Rs. 4200 having 180 days validity. You may cancel your membership at anytime with no questions asked. 

DOES EMPTYCARE OFFER TRIAL OR FREE SESSIONS?

The therapy services offered at EmptyCare are not free or on a trial basis. We employ a large, qualified dedicated team and contract with several therapists & psychologists to provide convenient, simple, and affordable online therapy. To be able to provide quality services, this infrastructure incurs some cost and hence, we cannot accommodate trial or free sessions at the time. 

HOW WILL I CONSULT THE THERAPIST?

Once you choose your therapist, you will be asked your preferences for the session date & time and then make the payment. You will receive confirmation mail with details about your upcoming session, steps leading to the session and link for the meeting with the Therapist.

If you choose a bundle, you will be connected with the same therapist for your next sessions as well. In case you book a single session with a particular therapist, you will be prompted to be connected with the same therapist next time as well. However, if you wish to change your therapist, you can always choose another therapist for the next session.

If at any time you think you are not satisfied with the services of your therapist, you will have an option to transfer to another therapist based on your bundle and usage till that date.

WHAT IS THE DURATION OF EACH SESSION?

Each therapy session is 60 minutes. This applies for Audio and Video sessions.

HOW WILL I COMMUNICATE WITH MY THERAPIST?

You can take the therapy session in 2 ways as per your comfort:

1. Audio call with your Therapist

2. Video call with your Therapist

CAN THERAPISTS PRESCRIBE MEDICATION?

Online therapists are not licensed to prescribe medication. For mental health medication, please reach out to your doctor or psychiatrist who are licensed to provide pharmacotherapy.  

WHAT IS THE ROLE OF EMPTYCARE ?

The service is provided by independent professionals who work directly with you. Based on a Care Receiver's feedback and testimonials, EMPTYCARE constantly reviews the therapists associated with it to ensure quality of the services provided to care receivers is maintained. We ensure that the therapists follow the code of ethics, set of best practices and provide complete confidentiality to care receivers. At any time, if you are not satisfied with the services provided, you may reach out to our customer support and seek resolution, we will serve you in the best possible way.

Our mission is to build a platform that lets Care Receivers & Therapists communicate effectively and at the same time ensuring that the users get the most benefit out of therapy and heal.

IS ONLINE THERAPY EFFECTIVE?

Online therapy and counselling are equally effective as compared to an in-person therapy session but offering more convenience, comfort and requiring less time. Similar to an offline/in-person session, it is advised that you trust & open fully with your therapist; but do that at your pace & comfort.

HOW DOES EMPTYCARE ENSURE ONLINE CONSULTING IS CONFIDENTIAL AND SECURE?

EmptyCare ensures that your information is kept strictly confidential, secure and will never be shared with anyone but yourself. Your information will be secure with your Therapist, and they will ensure your privacy to allow you to express yourself freely with full trust and openness.

All conversations with the Therapists are end-to-end encrypted. Thus, your conversations are safe and completely secure. The information will only be stored if you may authorize.

WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS OF THE THERAPIST?

All therapists at EmptyCare are required to have Master's degree in Psychology. The therapists are chosen based on their area of expertise and they all hold minimum 1 year of in-clinic experience.

EmptyCare aims to provide quality service to Care Receivers and reviews the performance of the therapists based strictly on the feedback and customer testimonials.

HOW DOES ONLINE THERAPY AND COUNSELLING WORKS?

Online counselling gives you an opportunity to seek professional assistance at your ease and from the place of your comfort. A therapists will help you express yourself same as one would in-person session, it wont be any different. In all sessions you are expected to share your thoughts and feelings, identify challenges faced by you and therapists will help you reflect and overcome these challenges through professional guidance, tasks, activities, life approach and regular sessions. They will give you unconditional support to empower you with the life skills to overcome any past inhibitions and manoeuvre through future experiences. 

EMPTYCARE will soon offer every registered user a dashboard where all your activities are recorded for your reference and your therapists will also post their notes and tasks to be done.

DO I NEED TO PREPARE ANYTHING BEFORE MY FIRST SESSION?

It’s not necessary to prepare yourself before your first session. Once you are comfortable with your therapists you can freely express yourself. Once you book a session, we will share some quick do’s and don’ts in the session confirmation email to help you prepare for your first and following sessions.

However, it is advisable that if you have a specific problem or issue you want to discuss and address then you can make notes before the session and focus on speaking about that first.

HOW MANY SESSIONS DO I REQUIRE?

The number of sessions depends on many factors which include how freely you express yourself, clarity on the objective and the work on the guidance provided by the therapist.

It could take takes 1-3 therapy sessions to build the rapport, set the course for therapy and formulate a tailored approach for you. Thereafter, examination is initiated to understand the root cause of the problem, the patterns and trigger of these issues.

WHAT WILL BE THE FREQUENCY OF SESSIONS?

We recommend max one session a week. The continuity of the sessions would depend on the therapy plan structured by your therapist and your comfort level.

WHAT KIND OF ISSUES OR PROBLEMS CAN ONLINE THERAPY HELP ME WITH?

Online therapy and counselling are helpful for all the issues and problems that create discomfort in your daily life and could reduce your productivity & wellness. These issues or concerns may make you feel stressed, anxious, depressed, trauma. If your problem or mental health has reached a level where you think you can harm yourself or others around you, then online counselling or therapy is not the right treatment for you. You must consult emergency helpline numbers.

WHAT IS A SELF-ASSESSMENT FORM?

Self-assessment form is the first step to find the right therapists for you. This is a short form and highly recommended by EmptyCare professionals. It will not take more than 5 mins to fill. It helps us understand your issues, profile, experience and preferences. Accordingly, it will filter through the profiles of several therapists to only a few that are relevant to your concern. Our aim is to make the process of taking therapy as simple and convenient as possible.

I HAVE FRIENDS WHO HELP AND GUIDE ME. WHY SHOULD I GO FOR PROFESSIONAL HELP?

A professional therapist is unbiased and will offer complete confidentiality, qualified guidance and unbiased perspective. They empower individuals with healing tools and help them to explore their inner strengths. They help you reflect, help you walk a better path and ensure a remarkable journey for you with the right set of tools. In the case of individual therapy, the relationship between you and your therapist — which is fostered through talk therapy — is key for good therapy. Individual therapy offers you a safe space to reflect your thoughts, feelings, and concerns. While you might find confiding into your friends and family more comfortable, you will find yourself filtering your thoughts, given their emotional connection the opinions will not be unbiased and they are not qualified to serve your situation well. When we speak to a professional therapist or psychologist it will give you the non-judgmental safe space you need, inspire change and improve the quality of life through self-awareness and self-exploration.

DO I NEED TO DISCLOSE MY IDENTITY TO EMPTYCARE?

It's up to you. Our therapists work around your comfort. However, we advise that the more you are open with your therapist, the more effective will be your healing process. With trust one tends to be honest and that lays strong foundation to commit to your better health. We don’t ask for your complete information or name when you sign up till you book a session. Only then we need your contact information for billing and future communications.

While taking therapy, your Therapist may ask for some information which is kept confidential and never shared with anyone. Please note that every therapy session is uniquely tailored to accommodate the comfort of a care receiver. You will not be pushed to do anything that you are not ready to do. You got this!
